การศึกษา “ความเครียดและปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องของประชาชนไทยจากการระบาดของโรคติดเชื้อไวรัส โคโรนา 2019 (COVID-19)” เป็นการสํารวจประชาชนไทยทั่วประเทศ ตั้งแต่เดือนมีนาคม-กันยายน พ.ศ. 2563 พบว่า ความชุกความเครียดของประชาชนไทยมีแนวโน้มขึ้นๆ ลงๆ โดยพบความชุกสูงเมื่อเริ่มมีสิ่งกระตุ้นหรือสิ่งเร้า คือวิกฤตโรคระบาดแล้วจะค่อยๆ ลดลงจนใกล้เคียงกับช่วงภาวะปกติที่ไม่มีวิกฤติในประเทศไทย การที่บุคคลมีความสามารถในการปรับตัว มีประสบการณ์ในการจัดการความเครียดจากเหตุการณ์ต่างๆ ที่เกิดขึ้นในชีวิตที่ผ่านมามีประสบการณ์ในการเผชิญปัญหา และความสามารถในการแก้ไขปัญหา เป็นการปรับตัวด้วยความเคยชิน เพื่อให้ร่างกายเกิดสมดุลผ่อนคลาย ทําให้ความเครียดที่เกิดขึ้นลดลงในระยะเวลาผ่านไป
